​The Kennard Police Department provides the following services:

• Accident Reports: $10
• Background Checks: $10
• VIN Checks: $5
• Standard Rolled Fingerprints (Form FD-258): $5
• Lifetime Personal Protection Gun Permit (Local Fee): $50

• Payment Methods:
  • By Appointment: Pay via check to the Clerk.
  • Online: Pay by credit card anytime through our secure payment portal (link below).
• Important Payment Guidelines:
  • Payments must be completed prior to your service appointment.
  • Bring your receipt or payment confirmation to your appointment.
  • Officers cannot accept payments in cash or check. Only the Clerk can process checks.
• Online Payment Instructions:

  2. If paying for a service fee, ignore references to "violations" or "ordinances."
  3. For "Violation Date," you can select today's date to proceed.

Please ensure all payments are finalized before your appointment to avoid delays. If you forget to pay in advance, use the online portal to complete your payment.

Ordinance Violations, Clerk Fees, Permit Fees and other Town related payments can be made by credit card* at this link ​below:

​Ordinance violations, not traffic violations, can be paid by check or money order at the Clerk's Office in the Town Hall. We will also accept Credit Card payments at PayGov.us (a small fee will be added to process the credit card which does not go to the Town) 

Vehicle infraction tickets are handled through the state. Check the ticket for payment information.

 The Clerks have ZERO knowledge of police matters. Traffic violations paid to the above link will be returned. The Town of Kennard does not collect payment for vehicle infractions. Read the citation for more details.

The Town will also accept payments through the mail (P.O. Box 167 Kennard, IN 47351)

Spotlight on some specific services offered

• Golf Cart Check and Town Registration - any golf cart driving in town must be registered per ordinance, per year. 
• Vacation, Vacant, and For Sale Check. - officers will add the house to a list they check while patrolling. They will look for break ins and vandalism.
• Notifying our officers of individuals that have mental handicap(s). This is in hopes that any contact will be dealt with appropriately. NOTE: This information will not be shared outside of the PD and officers.
• Ordinance Violations - Everyone can't see everything all of the time but if you see a possible ordinance violation please report it. Our officers will visit the location and determine what, if any, action should be taken  765-571-2640
