Kennard is located in western Henry County and is a part of Greensboro Township.
Kennard covers just 0.42 square miles of land and is surrounded by farmland and open countryside. According to the most recent estimates, the town is home to approximately 446 residents (2025 estimate). The population has remained stable in recent years, reflecting the quiet, close-knit character of this rural community.
The town was officially platted in 1882 and has deep roots in Henry County history. Today it serves as a peaceful residential community with easy access to Knightstown (about 9 miles south) and New Castle (about 10 miles east). Residents enjoy a low-density lifestyle with strong community ties, three local parks developed in the past decade, and a growing interest in new housing.
